Joffe Nature Sanctuary
A visit to the Nature Sanctuary provides a quiet stroll and an immersion in our natural world. Two interlocking loop trails, ideal for families with children, explore the rich wetland and upland habitats that comprise Joffe. The wetland loop, about a quarter-mile in length, circles the vernal pond, and is ideal for spotting ducks, frogs, turtles, beavers and muskrat. Laurel Loop goes uphill through mountain laurel past a huge boulder left behind as Ice Age glaciers retreated.
