Lost jobs and reduced income mean a lot of people in the Berkshires are struggling to put food on the table. Let’s pedal it forward to help those who’ve been hurt by the economic fallout from the COVID-19 virus.

The Land Trust has created a way for all of us to participate. We have coordinated with Berkshire Bike and Board whose generosity has helped make this happen.

Purchase a chance to win a fabulous new e-Bike – a Specialized Turbo Como 3.0 from Berkshire Bike and Board – plus a $100 credit for gear. All together a $3,050 value! The Pedal It Forward drawing will be live-streamed at noon on Saturday, May 16 on Instagram (@newmarlboroughlandtrust).

Proceeds will be donated to two food pantries – The People’s Pantry and the Sheffield Food Assistance Program – which are seeing sharp increases in the number of people they serve.

And one lucky individual will win a new electric bike – perfect for power cruising along our hilly roads. It will be a fun and silky-smooth ride!
 

How to Enter

Raffle tickets go on sale May 4 at www.nmlandtrust.org. Click on the ENTER THE RAFFLE button below to purchase tickets. A single ticket is $10; 10 tickets are $50; and 25 tickets are $100. The Land Trust will hold the printed tickets and use them for the drawing. We will email your ticket numbers after your purchase. Your purchase receipt will be automatically emailed to you.

Remember, proceeds will be donated to two local food pantries.  Take a chance and pedal it forward!

By purchasing a chance to win, I understand that:

  • According to the Internal Revenue Service, no portion of the ticket price qualifies as a charitable deduction for federal income tax purposes.

  • The $3,050 value of the prize will be considered as ordinary income to the winner for federal and state income tax purposes.

  • No employee or Board member of the New Marlborough Land Trust, or their immediate families, may win the prize.

  • The maximum number of tickets to be sold is 1,000.

  • The winner may apply the dollar value of the Turbo Como 3.0 towards a different bike of one's choice at Berkshire Bike and Board.

  • The winner will coordinate directly with Berkshire Bike and Board to pick up the e-Bike.

  • The winner does not have to be viewing, or present at, the drawing.
